With Jersey celebrating Liberation 80 on 9 May this event will celebrate and tell the story of the Liberation of Jersey. Talks, tours and handling sessions will be taking place all weekend with guest speakers and Jersey Archive staff talking about different aspects of the Liberation period.

As we celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Liberation, this talk will explore the fascinating story of what happened next. How did the Island recover from the physical and psychological damage of the Occupation years and return to a place of peace and prosperity? Lucy Layton, Exhibitions Curator at Jersey Heritage, will outline the development of a brand-new exhibition at Jersey Museum & Art Gallery to mark this very special anniversary.
